Summary: A reimagining of the episode "Someone to Watch Over Me" in which B'Elanna reads all of Seven's research and gains a new understanding.

Recommendation: I thought that some of the weakest episodes were the ones featuring Seven's experiments in "romance" as they fully illustrate how far attitudes have come from the 90s and all the toxic heteronormative bs (we've still got a ways to go, but sheesh), so this is a breath of fresh air (even if Tom certainly doesn't come out smelling like roses) and provides a better romance for Seven and B'Elanna.

I'd never even thought of B'Elanna/Seven before, but it does make for some interesting character dynamics. I'll check out all these!

I first gave them a try because I liked that they were peers/colleagues rather than mentor/mentee like Seven and the Captain (or Chakotay), but once I gave them a try I was sold. I feel like Seven is at less of an emotional maturity disadvantage because B'Elanna is not self-reflective but this gives them both the chance to grow together. Also, I feel that they are quite complementary.
