It has been quite a long time since I was able to wrangle my muse into letting me write something. Once again it is porn. In addition to having written the porn I was also trying something that I was inspired to try after a conversation here a couple of years ago about trying to make porn that only needed a few tweaks to redress it for another pairing. Kind of like porn-ish Mad Libs. Anyway, I have a few flavors already if this is your thing but there are more to come. :D

Recommendation: I'm actually a little surprised that I've not rec'ed this one before. It is good stuff. I love a good post-series story that brings these two together. I even liked the OC in this one. Poor Spike, I hate feeling that my emotions are out of my control, something that has been brought on with all of the stress of last year, but Xander is so wonderfully supportive.

I love the thought of Xander going to LA determined to extend his hand in friendship to Spike and ending up with so much more. I love Xander and Andrew being geeky BFFs and I love that everyone's ending got to be happier than in the show. Top marks all around.

Recommendation: This was awesome! I've been a fan of Reconstruction by Wordsmith for quite a few years now, but this is the first time reading another story that builds an AU from this point in time that I feel works and works well. I love all the little touches; including the genuine seeming grief and coping (or lack of coping) that goes on [i.e.; Willow's ill-advised magic use, Dawn's stealing, etc.], the family-building even with the miscommunication that comes with families, the inclusion of Jonathan and the resolution of the situation with Warren and Andrew, the slow build between Xander and Spike, the elephant in the room that is the Scoobies trusting Spike on a gut level for a long time, and the whole group working together to protect the Hellmouth without Buffy. I love that it allows all of them to grow, in a realistic way, beyond where the show had always seemed to leave them in favor of Buffy's narrative. All in all, this was super enjoyable and I stayed up way too late trying to finish it and it has already rocketed itself to my top ten Spander.
