Recommendation: So I was a little surprised by this AU, Finn the German and Poe the Frenchman in WWI. I did a little digging myself and discovered that there were quite a few black German soldiers in WWI and they served with distinction though they were mostly in Africa attacking British colonies. Only about ten percent of the German force in Europe were black and they mostly did not serve in combat rolls, but it would not have been impossible to have had a Finn on the German lines. You learn something new everyday.

Recommendation: While this marriage was not accidental, it wasn’t really planned for or even strictly voluntary. Or at least it wasn’t until these two got a proper look at each other and ended up just as dazzled by each other even without the rescue and defection.
