Recommendation: This was EPIC! And it was marvelous. The first installment was a fun and sexy romp that was super fun, but you can not stop there. No really you can't unless you content to have your heart broken. Proceed directly to installment number two and I promise that it will make things better. One of the biggest pluses for me in this story was all of the support characters, the Maitlands and Delia and a wonderful selection of characters repurposed from the cartoon and adjusted to fit a more grown up story. There is even a delightful child OC, and that is usually something I can't stand but I found her to be pitch perfect. Finally, the relationship between Lydia and Betelgeuse is a roller coaster ride but in the very best way.

Recommendation: This story is so great because instead of just aging Lydia to early adulthood, kurushi takes her all the way to almost middle age. I love Delia in this one as I love the thought that as they get older Lydia and her stepmother come to a new understanding of each other. Betelgeuse proves himself to be an improvement on her husband which *wow* that really says something, but it makes for a really interesting read. Really, one of my favorites.

Recommendation: This was a fine witch's brew of movie-verse, cartoon-verse, gothic sensibilities, and slow burn romance, you know I love it. ;) I also love that Lydia eventually gives in not to Betelgeuse's persistence but to his very real understanding of her as a person, that is just a beautiful thing.

Recommendation: This is set firmly in the cartoon-verse (which I've never seen, which makes me sad) and is super cute. Godfather jokes are made, adventures are had, Beej proves he doesn't need his juice to be scary, and he and Lyds move their relationship to the next stage. Good stuff.

Just before the storm, I watched the movie Beetlejuice and that put me in the mood for Beetlebabes stories. This one is fun with a creepy villain (who is not Betelgeuse) and a reasonably interesting backstory for the Ghost with the Most.
