Recently, I've started recording podfics but I have also gone out of town and currently have no way to record so I am sublimating that creative frustration into creating podfic covers. I trolled through the "cover art welcome" tag on AO3 and just started making a couple a day. {Click to see the full size graphic.}

So I haven't really meant to be so absent from DW, but I'll be honest I usually drop out of online participation in the winter and spring (picking back up in the summer and fall) but this last winter was very different because of the Tumblr implosion. (Which I've almost stopped going there at all now, and anytime I do go it makes me sad and angry so I stop again.) I feel like that throw off my usual "break time" but I've not been totally inactive. I'm over on DeviantArt (and boy do I have some issues with their policies just like with Tumblr, but I digress) having fun with doll & scene makers which has it's own little niche that is quite sweet. I am also trying to pad out the number of works featuring Maria Rambeau and her wife Carol, because there is a very sad lack. I've not done much reading in the last few weeks, but all the reading I have done has been for these wonderful Pilot Wives. :D

It was my birthday yesterday, and I had a lovely time with my family (strawberry cake, which I'll confess to having a piece of for breakfast this morning ;D). And in the evening, Game of Thrones has returned! :D Everyone I love will probably die horribly but I'm still excited anyway (which is pretty much the GoT fan experience ;)). I also watched The Meg is weekend, and what even is that movie and why did I sit through the whole thing? o_O Ugh. No more shark movies.

Whelp, I think that's pretty much all that's been going on for me. Oh, and I thought I'd share one of the Danbeau pics I've done and, yes, that is them as Tinkerbell-style pixies but I thought it turned out rather sweet. Anyway, enough about me, how are you doing?

I have spent a fun afternoon playing around with Azaleasdolls.com to make some Tolkien elf portraits. Not particularly productive, but I've been rather pleased with the results. :D

So the other day I discovered that DeviantArt has this wonderful tool that allows one to share a thumbnail pic with a link to the artist's full sized pic in their gallery. Through a more circuitous route, I was able to use the code to do much the same with a Tumblr post (tiny thumbnail image, link directly to artist's original post).

So I saw that

musyc had posted a thumbnail linking to a piece of fanart on DeviantArt, and I wanted to try to do that! I'm not even sure that I've done this the easiest way or not, but it worked, so I am content. :D
