Title: Scarif Sunrise
Author: davaia
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 13,059
Summary: Twenty years ago, Qui-Gon Jinn left the Jedi Order in the wake of his fallen apprentice. For twenty years, the Jedi Order has been trying to get him back. With galactic crisis looming, the High Council dispatches their only hope to finally reclaim the wayward Master: Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Negotiator. Things do not go according to plan.

Recommendation: Beach bum Jedi! I gotta say it make a profound amount of sense. I love their banter and all of Qui-Gon's bs about Scarif traditions. And seriously Obi-Wan needs a vacation, let the man rest for the love of the Force.

Title: Extraordinarily Resilient
Author: Cori Lannam
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 6,931
Summary: After Obi-Wan's knighting, a bout of separation anxiety leads Qui-Gon to wonder if some bonds are not meant to be broken-whether they like it or not.

Recommendation: Sometimes we are just not ready to let go regardless of catchy Disney songs. I really loved that they got a chance to have a real heart-to-heart as they were in despite need.

Title: Radical Stimulus
Author: scarletjedi
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 5,344
Summary: In the bowels of Theed Palace, fighting for his life against a nightmare come to life, Obi-Wan Kenobi has a vision. Everything changes.

Recommendation: Happy New Year, readers! In years past, I have taken the opportunity to announce changes on the first of the year but this time I am simply going to reaffirm my decision to "keep it simple" in an effort to prevent burnout. This will mean: no holiday specials, no Femslash Fridays, no Straight Sundays. Just recs when I feel like it not trying to keep to a schedule, I'm hoping that will work for me going forward. :D This story is marvelous. Told in reverse chronological order it opens up a brand new world. The two following sequels are a wonderful glimpse into the resulting changes, and I was especially interested in scarletjedi's take on Qui-Gon's response to the clones and the Jedi becoming generals.

Title: Common Knowledge
Author: serenityabrin
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 2,941
Summary: Everyone knows Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are together. It's too bad nobody told Obi-Wan.

Recommendation: This is a special, super-duper, special Jedi level of obliviousness. ;)

Title: Changing Fate
Author: robinasnyder
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 18,667
Summary: Obi-Wan is the worst Sith in history, only kept alive because of his close relationship with Darth Maul. He begins getting visions from a young age where he became a strong, upstanding Jedi, everything he ever wanted. So when he comes face to face again with the Master who rejected him and sent him off to the nightmare he's been trapped in, Obi-Wan is willing to take a chance. After all, even if he died, his life couldn't get any worse.

Recommendation: This was really great, though poor Obi-Wan. Seriously. I think the hints about Obi-Wan and Maul relationship are great, and rather in character as Maul, even the insane one, always wanted a brother. It hurt how much Obi-Wan was just waiting for the other shoe to drop even as he tried to gather as many good memories before it all went to hell for him again, but it all works out. I promise. :)

Title: Dimension Jump
Author: SWModdy
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy/The Clone Wars
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 17,801
Summary: Due to Dooku meddling with forgotten Force powers during the clone wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi gets dragged into a new dimension where he's dead but Qui-Gon is not. He can never return home and has to make a new life. He hopes he can do better in this one.

Recommendation: It's not that I didn't ship the young Obi-Wan with his master so much as the older, world-weary General Kenobi with Qui-Gon is a hundred times hotter. Have mercy. Also, I love the thought of General Jinn's ship being called the Maverick rather than the Negotiator.

Title: Mine, All of Them
Authors: ilyena_sylph & Merfilly
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy/The Clone Wars
Pairing: Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker
Rating: General [G]
Word Count: 27,743
Summary: Anakin's possessiveness saves the galaxy (or, being demonstrably the cause of loss is a bad idea, Palpatine.)

Recommendation: Possessiveness is most definitely in Anakin's wheelhouse so it seems totally in keeping that he would be all these are my girls (Padmé and Ahsoka) and these are my boys (all of his troopers) and no one may have them for they are mine. Sith, Jedi, it doesn't matter. This is wonderful, if self-indulgent, rather like a cup of hot cocoa on a cold and rainy day. :D

Title: The Changing Fate series
Authors: ilyena_sylph & Merfilly
Canon: Star Wars - the Prequel Trilogy
Pairing: Qui-Gon Jinn/Obi-Wan Kenobi; Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker
Rating: General - Teen [G - PG]
Word Count: 187,695
Summary: In a galaxy where Qui-Gon Jinn doesn't let Darth Maul bait him ahead of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the events of the Prequel Trilogy fall out quite differently. How will it all play out when Master Qui-Gon Jinn trains Anakin Skywalker, with a helping hand from Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Recommendation: Happy Christmas! I hope this finds you all safe and happy (whether you celebrate or not). :D Consider this a Christmas present from me to you because this story really is a gift. ;) I'm not going to lie, long long ago when I was a wee little internet lurker I totally shipped QuiObi after the prequel movies came out despite the fact that I usually don't go for such a large age difference. But beyond my ship-y feelings, this is so great because I was always convinced that Qui-Gon would have been a much better master for Anakin and that the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin would have been better if it genuinely was brotherly instead of teacher/father figure-esque. This story also did something rather unexpected for me. I've never shipped Anidala, wait wait, let me explain. Their relationship is canon. It just is, like trees. It didn't need to be "shipped" per se. But in this story they meet again earlier (and someone does right by Shmi, thank Force) and Anakin, who has adjusted well with Qui-Gon as his master, though still utterly devoted to Padme wants their relationship to have a good solid friendship to build off of. So I found myself shipping these two so hard and happy in the knowledge that they would be together in due time and there would likely still be Force twins and that they would be able to be a happy family, and *sigh* yeah, I didn't expect that. Oh and there are truly wonderful clone trooper OCs. :D All the good things!
