Recommendation: Man, I saw this movie again on tv and I'd forgotten how much I'd enjoyed it. It never was popular enough for a lot of fanfic, but this one makes up for it by being so good and it along with it's sequel, The Compass Always Points North, are what I'd consider these two's best case scenario.
