Title: More Like Magic
Author: tigerlady
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 19,262
Summary: When Tony goes undercover to investigate a company that might be using reservists as mules, he quickly figures out that to get inside, he’ll need to open the lid on a part of himself that he’s kept locked down tight for a very long time.

Recommendation: Tony’s working his charm for fun and justice. Tim’s not too far behind in the charm department, but he definitely benefits from it being genuine. Tony’s discovering he feeling pretty sincere too.

Title: Still Time for You
Author: torakowalski
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 22,570
Summary: Modern Day High School AU. “You go to college parties all the time,” Tim grumbled, pulling his hand away from Abby’s to suck grumpily on his chocolate milkshake. “Yes,” Abby agreed, “But I’m me and you’re not.” Jimmy hummed like that made sense. Tim needed better friends. It was one college party; he’d be fine.

Recommendation: Every pairing deserves a good high school AU, and one of the things I really like about this one is that it doesn’t make everyone magically the same age. Gibbs and Ducky cameo as adults, with Tony, Kate and Ziva still in college while only Abby, Tim and Jimmy are in high school.

Title: Pulling Them Off
Author: celli
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 2,782
Summary: Tony and McGee “play gay.”

Recommendation: It think it’s a law in fandom that all cops (or other law enforcement) must have a undercover at a gay bar story. I’m pretty sure it would be illegal not to.

Title: Mittens and Sodomy
Author: Zoi no miko
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 4,767
Summary: McGee discovers that people have written slashfic about his books on the internet. Tony gleefully helps.

Recommendation: Raunchy fanfiction as a seduction play. I could get behind it.

Title: Lost at Sea
Author: Julesmonster
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 30,473
Summary: Tony has been assigned to the USS Seahawk and is feeling adrift without the support of his friends, but a surprising friendship develops into something more.

Recommendation: I love the build up between Tony and Tim, but I have to say Gibbs is rather thrown under the bus. Although on second thought he does frequently go off reservation, so maybe not out of character.

Title: The DiNozzo Experience™
Author: Caos Accidentale
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 8,287
Summary: “You call this a seduction scene, Probie?”- DiNozzo offers to show McGee how to convince Abby to go out with him again.

Recommendation: Tony might be a dating guru, but Tim is a smart, smart man. Tony should always remember that.

Title: Damage over Time (DoT)
Author: tigerlady
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 10,647
Summary: Tony just can’t stay away.

Recommendation: It’s rather amusing to think of Tony getting into gaming (even if the game they made-up for the show was more parody than a guide to gaming). It provides these two with the opportunity to get to know each other while not playing their expected ‘roles’ at work.

Title: The Third Saturday in November
Author: justhuman
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 2,216
Summary: Tony explains to Tim what being a Buckeye means to him. In SWAK, Tony and Dr. Brad Pitt (not the actor) aren’t just filling in a little back ground and giving Kate something to gripe about. They’re alluding to one of the great sports rivalries - Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes. The 13-13 tie mentioned in SWAK was the 1992 game.

Recommendation: What’s American Thanksgiving without some football talk? Just not complete, that’s what.

Title: Intertextual
Author: Regann
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 6,249
Summary: It shouldn’t have taken a rant by an anonymous poster named mctommy893 to make Tony see what was right in front of him; or, Tony discovers McGregor/Tommy slash on the internet.

Recommendation: It tickles me to no end reading a fanfiction about a tv character who’s reading fan fiction about a character in an in-show book series that is based on said TV character. It has layers.

Title: Building Heaven
Author: velvetjinx
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 27,744
Summary: Tony discovers something about McGee, which leads him to discover something about himself. Title is paraphrased from William Blake’s The Clod and the Pebble, because for me it embodies Tim and Tony’s (respective) points of view on love when the fic opens.

Recommendation: So, when you break into a coworkers apartment and read a gay sex scene between characters based on you and him any resulting sexual epiphanies are all your own fault, Tony. If that should lead to a lot of hot sex then well what do you have to complain about.

Title: Go Buckeyes!
Author: shadowdweller25
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 1,952
Summary: Tim had no idea that wearing the jersey would get this reaction.

Recommendation: Mmm, boyfriend jersey. It’s totally bro-code to give a guy some space during a boyfriend jersey situation.

Title: A Brief History of Home Invasions: It's Not the Uninvited Guest, It's What You Do With Them That Counts
Author: catwalksalone
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 14,655
Summary: When Tony turns up at Tim’s door, suitcase in hand, Tim has no idea why he’s there or what’s supposed to happen next. Probably a revolutionary dish mop and a potential threat to his life aren’t high on his list of possible options, though.

Recommendation: I just love a good stealth domestication. I can’t seem to help myself when it comes to these kinds of stories, there’s no grand romance or sex, just two friends (with feelings) getting used to each other in their space. This story provides bonus stalker subplot, with Tim being pretty damn cool. All the good things.

Title: All Is Fair
Author: bananacosmicgirl
Canon: NCIS
Pairing: Tony DiNozzo/Tim McGee
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 4,067
Summary: Tony didn’t want to think too closely about just why he’d decided to create a fake online persona named Claire, just so that he could chat up a certain computer geek. Episode tag to 6x14 “Love and War”.

Recommendation: I watched this show pretty faithfully right up until the second time Ziva left, I’ll even confess to rooting for Tiva long, long ago but as a diehard slasher I could not keep on the straight and narrow. I know that Gibbs/DiNozzo is the more popular pairing in this fandom but I really can’t get past the paternal way Gibbs treats his team, it just makes me too uncomfortable. On the other hand Tony and Tim’s interactions smack of pigtail-pulling and school age crushes when viewed through my permanently affixed slash goggles. This particular prank of Tony’s is only really redeemed with the notion that he’s not conscious of his interest in McGee, ‘cause otherwise it’s just a dick move.
