Summary: It’s a perfectly wretched day in Camelot when Uther Pendragon announces Arthur’s betrothal.
Recommendation: This was marvelous. Arthur is smitten despite his best intentions and all because of who Merlin is as a person not what his station in life is and who he’s intended to be. I also love how Merlin also wins over the rest so quickly, from Gwen and Morgana (understandably) to the palace guards.
