Summary: Monroe looks at Nick, with his bright blue eyes and his silly teenage boy hair cut, and he thinks maybe it isn't so silly, that Barry thought they were together. It should be ridiculous, a Grimm and a Blutbad, and it kind of was, but right now, Monroe saw it as a whole different type of hilarious. It was trying to find every one's shoes at night when Barry and Roddy left to go out to eat, or slipping a few dollars in Gracie's pocket before she and Hansen left in the morning. It was Holly curled up on the floor with her head on Nick's knee waiting for her mom to come pick her up. It was beers at midnight, when the house was quiet, and coffee in the morning when it wasn't so peaceful.

Recommendation: So a couple of months ago, I tested positive for COVID (despite being vaccinated in the spring) so I had to isolate and in my isolation the spouse and I rewatched the show Grimm. It had been years since I'd seen it and I'd forgotten how much I'd like the first few seasons. I must confess that I never did ship Nick with Monroe mostly because Monroe and Rosalee were just so darn cute, but this story managed to appeal despite that. They helped so many young people it pleased me to think of them staying in their lives. (Oh, and I had a mild case and have recovered well.)

First of all, EEP! I'm glad your case was mild and that you're recovered. Second, this is one of my FAVORITE fics in the Grimm fandom! There's a dearth of fics in the Grimm/Nick/Monroe fandom, but this is one of the best. I re-read it from time to time. And yes, when I write Nick/Monroe, I use Rosalee as a friend that tries to get the boys together. :)

The most popular fic that I've written on AO3 is a Nick/Monroe fic. And I wish there were a hundred times more fics available.

Thanks! And I can understand why it would be a fav because it is really great! I have to admit that I ended up falling more onto the Nick/Renard side of this fandom, though that doesn't mean I can't appreciate good Nick/Monroe. Lol, I agree, more fics are always better! :D
