Recommendation: This is some good stuff. I love the slow quasi-domestication in a new place, all those lovely Croatian details. But more than that I love that both Xander and Spike get to feel forgiven, needed, and valued for who they are. Xander is a lot more badass than he thinks he is.

It's lovely to see a Spike/Xander rec. They were my first slash pairing and I still have so much fondness for them.

They are one of my many nostalgic favorites, and I revisit them every so often. :D I'm not sure if they were my first but they were definitely one of the earliest.
