Summary: Adora’s still getting the hang of this whole “wanting” thing, Glimmer and Bow put up with a lot, and Catra negotiates gainful employment. Or: they’re intergalactic diplomats. There’s an incident. Or: five times Adora’s newfound possessive streak gets the better of her and one time it gets the better of Catra.

Recommendation: Oh man, I love this story so much. I love the thought of Catra being both appreciated for her skills and being confident in herself. I love the dynamic that develops between Catra and Glimmer because they are much more alike then Bow or Adora. And I love that Catra gets to see that Adora wants her every bit as much as she wants her. And Adora, the sweet dumb jock, we love her even though she is bad at feelings.

Thank you SO MUCH for this rec. I just read the whole thing and then bookmarked it to read over and over again - I've honestly been scared to wade into She-Ra fandom in case the fics didn't live up to the show for me, but this is so, SO good!

AH! Isn't it SO GREAT! I do understand your reticence though, the show was just SO good it didn't really need "fixing" per se so fanfic gets tricky. But I needed a story that let Adora and Catra unpack some of their lingering issues and Catra integrating into the Best Friends Squad gives me life so I was over the moon to find this gem. I know I'm definitely going to read it again. ;D

It is AMAZING. Most of the fanfiction I read is for series that I felt did need fixing, so it's super weird to go look for fic for things that were basically perfect as far as I was concerned. But I'll definitely be reading this one over and over again!
