Challenge #3: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

In your own space, tell us who, from one of your fandoms, would you most want to have dinner with (or tea, or a random afternoon visit), And why? This could be a creator, an actor, a costumer, a set designer, a director, a character, a composer, anybody! What would you talk about? What are you dying to know? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Oh man, this is SUCH a good challenge. I am an introvert's introvert to be sure so the thought of a dinner party is just overwhelming but having little "get to know you" outings with a person would be super cool. The first one I could think of was spending a morning in a coffee shop with Jane Austen people-watching and trading observations about the other customers and baristas. I feel like she would have had fun and entertaining insights about people viewed even casually. I also would not mind going to lunch with Foggy Nelson, I feel like he would be both fun and funny to hang out with. I would love to attend a hobbit's tea with Bilbo Baggins, who I feel would be a good host as well as being a storyteller par excellence. Hmm, then maybe an evening walk with Din Djarin and little Grogu, something chill and quiet.

There are many more I'm sure, but this sounds like a full day of socializing and I would probably need a few days to recover after. ;D

Title: Spoonful of Sugar
Author: RainyDayDecaf
Canon: The Hobbit | Tolkienverse
Pairing: Thorin Oakenshield/Bilbo Baggins
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 29,960
Summary: “You see, before we all escaped from Mirkwood, I might have… done something. To Thranduil. Something rather petty and immature and not at all respectable.” In which laughter cures greed, humiliation trounces pride, and even the smallest of pranks can change the course of the future.

Recommendation: Oh my, laughter really is the best medicine. I love that though it helps it isn't a magic bullet, Thorin still has to fight for his sanity. And Bilbo is so bad ass! And Thranduil, jeez dude. I love the thought of Bilbo being a master pranker for his days in the Shire, the others just don't know. Don't cheese off a hobbit.
