A stop at an abandoned house, and now she's stuck haunting a piece of real estate in the middle of nowhere with a porch that hasn't got proper planning approval, and taking whatever company she can get. Recommendation: This story is so great because instead of just aging Lydia to early adulthood, kurushi takes her all the way to almost middle age. I love Delia in this one as I love the thought that as they get older Lydia and her stepmother come to a new understanding of each other. Betelgeuse proves himself to be an improvement on her husband which *wow* that really says something, but it makes for a really interesting read. Really, one of my favorites.
