Gah! I'm so excited to be getting started with this! *deep calming breaths* Okay, my happy place will probably come as no surprise but the thing that picks me up when I'm down, calms me when I'm agitated and makes me feel at peace with the world is reading. Or more specifically reading fanfiction. I started recommending fanfiction, yes, to tell others about great stories and to give back to fandom but it was also in no small way so that I could keep track of the good stuff and easily find it when my mood called for it.

 

So this is a standing THANK YOU! to all the fanfiction writers who have, are, and will contribute to my Happy Place! I love all that you do, and from the very depths of my heart, I thank you for all comfort, relaxation, and joy that you have given me all these years! I hope that you are blessed in this New Year an always!

Recommendation: Happy New Year, readers! I hope everyone is recovered from last night ;). I'm going to start off the year with something that is not going to be everyone's bag, but there is likely something wrong with me and I like it anyway. Every time I like a movie I usually check to see what kind of slash is being written, imagine my surprise to discover that Peter and Rocket were the most common slash pairing after the first movie. I got it on an emotional level, there is a lot going on there but even so, it took me a bit before my curiosity got the better of me. Rocket hurts my feels folks. I want good things for him, and Peter could be good. I have only one problem with this story when Peter's asked if he likes males or other males really, he says no. That boy is pan, and I will not believe anything else.
