Between Endgame and Game of Thrones this weekend, I am emotionally wrecked. *headdesk* I'm elated and furious, and just so turned around I feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. *stares blankly off into space*

Awww. Fandom is hard!

(I'm just having the vaguely bemusing experiences of standing on the sidelines of both and watching fandom do one of its periodic implosions.)

*sigh* It can be, at that. I do prefer the more detached perspective as well, but I comfort myself that if there is anything distressing or frustrating with canon fanfiction while stand in the gap and give me fix-its. ;D

I just saw a similar post elsewhere and am glad I am only in Marvel. Although I have 2 season finales still to watch and am trying to avoid being spoiled in the meantime.

That is the eternal battle. I'd been good, and it's gotten easier now that I'm not really on Tumblr to avoid spoilers. But that has not saved me from the emotional fallout after watching it. I had a few quibbles with Endgame but all in all I'm satisfied, while I have more mixed feelings about the GoT episode. Good luck with staying unspoiled for your shows! :D

I know right! The spouse had a friend send them a pirated video of Endgame (with Japanese subtitles) and they were watching that on their phone last night when I got home. Cue another bout of being "Upset". :P I'm not even remotely other this yet.

I know. This was the perfect storm of feels for me this week. Game of Thrones, Endgame, and Guardian all together have just about killed me. And I started my period. LOL

Ugh, that's rough (a perfect storm of emotional media and hormones). This week's GoT was at least not as emotionally harrowing (although that might just be emotional fatigue talking, poor Missandei) mostly I'm just mad. :P

I know! I really wanted her and Greyworm to have their beach get away. Although, I knew as soon as they started talking about it that it wasn't going to happen. :(

Oh I know! You could just feel the tragedy coming on and when Grey Worm didn't go in the battle ('cause I really thought he was going to do a pyretic sacrifice to light the trench) I knew something else was coming. They're just trying to untether Daenerys. First Jorah, now Missandei. She doesn't have anyone she trusts implicitly left. No good is coming of this, I can feel it. :( If Grey Worm survives (doubtful) I do hope that he and whatever are left of the Unsullied get to go to Naath anyway and act as protection for those people in honor of Missandei.

I just wish it didn't feel like they were undercutting her characterization in the process. Oh well.

It's almost done. I kinda can't believe it.

I know, it feels a little unreal. My only consolation is if D&D eff this up then we can look forward to all of the fix-it fics that are to come. ;D
