Author: The Croc Shop
Canon: Megamind
Pairing: Roxanne Ritchie/Megamind
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 8,727
Summary: Pre-film. When a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face, you get feelings. Or: six times Megamind checked out Roxanne's derriere.
Recommendation: I really hope that I am not the only one who still loves this movie, because it really was a standout. I love how it handled questions about the nature of heroism and villainy, but also I thought, more importantly, was the meaning of being a "good guy". Hal probably thought he was a "good guy" and wondered why, since he was a "good guy" Roxanne didn't welcome his advances. Megamind in contrast was always respectful of her even while being "the villain" and thought of her as the smartest PERSON he knew. Not bad for a movie about a blue alien supervillain. I've loved this particular story for a good long while now. Roxanne is who Megamind notices in detail way before he realizes his own attraction to her, he notes her changing hairstyles and always seems to notice her hips and ass (which can I say how refreshing it was to see such a lushly shaped heroine). But he also notes how smart and level-headed she is, while trying to impress her.
