We survived!
While not a direct hit (thank the dear and fluffy Lord) Hurricane Dorian still did some damage in my neck of the woods. My family and I are fine and even our house is mostly fine (slight hole in roof not withstanding). We lost power early on but got it back only a few hours later, but internet and cable has been down for days :P. Anxiety and boredom suck separately, but they really suck together. Thankfully, things are finally back on! Additionally, a carpenter friend of ours came by and helped us repair the hole in the roof. It was over the garage so all in all not the worst place for it to have had it.
I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things, and because I had nothing to do but read the long stories I'd downloaded before we lost power and internet I do have a few recs that I will probably be putting out in the next few days. :D
I hope everyone else in the path of Dorian has made out okay! And my thoughts and prayers are certainly with those so effected in the Bahamas.
