Summary: The prompt was: Stannis realizes he made a grave mistake in trusting Melisandre but Davos is going to be there for his king no matter what.

Recommendation: For a while I've rec'd het and femslash from this fandom as the slash is thin on the ground (and mostly seems to involve Ramsey and Theon, and NO, just NO; Renly/Loras doesn't count as they're canon). One slash pairing I can get behind is Stannis and Davos (sans Shireen burning 'cause seriously), but not for Stannis' sake. When asked which character from GoT I'd like to meet and talk to I did not hesitate for even a moment answering Davos Seaworth. He has to be my favorite or very nearly my favorite character is that whole GoT/ASOIAF universe. Because I like him so much and he likes Stannis so much I'm prepared to like Stannis for his sake. But he really should have listened to Davos about pretty much everything and I think things would have gone better for him. Addendum: My rage over Season 8, almost made me pull this off but *sigh* these were all stories I liked before that and are heavy on book-verse anyway.
