Non-Rec: All Quiet on the Tumblr Front
Dec. 21st, 2018 08:30 amOr at least it seems that way to me. I'd logged off for the 17th, but a couple of days later I felt the need to see for myself.
As well as the fanfic recs blog I also curated two fanart blogs, one SFW and the other NSFW. I'd always made an effort to make sure everything was tagged so I figured my NSFW blog was toast, but when I logged back in I discovered that it's still there and it even has some explicit pictures still up. (I'm not going to be the one to tell them that they missed any, no sir. And if they want it taken down they are going to have to do it their own damn selves because I will not.) Much to my irritation, I also found that 1 in 20 of the images on my SFW blog are also gone. :P *rolls eyes so hard*
The biggest difference has been my dash. I follow four different types of blogs on Tumblr: fanfic rec blogs (they've not been very active :( for some time now), social justice blogs (feminism, racism, lgbtqia, etc.), cute animal blogs, and fanart blogs. The most numerous of those types has always been the fanart blogs. While there is still plenty of content from the social justice and cute animal blogs, there has been a marked drop in fanart. Not that I blame any artist for pulling up sticks and heading for the hills, but it makes me sad and my dash is most certainly diminished.
On the Dreamwidth front, things are looking great and I am making serious progress in backlogging my previous recs. I have finished posting for 2018, and have starting posting the recs from 2017. :D Please do go have a look. :)
I have over 300 tags already D:, and I'm going to have to keep an eye on that. I've also begun contemplating getting a paid account here at DW, maybe with some Christmas money :). I've been having such a marvelous time with all of you :D!
