Summary: The people who have been hurt the most are sometimes the most likely to survive, because they’ve already survived worse. Or, where Josh survives until dawn and gets himself out of the mines. 

Recommendation: Without going wildly AU from the game, I’m thinking that this might count as best possible outcome. It’s more of a hopeful ending as you still don’t know what’s going to happen with the police because “wendigo” doesn’t sound like an explanation that will be widely excepted.
