Title: The Seven Bind Their Fate

Summary: What if Jaime became a prisoner of Renly Baratheon, instead of Robb Stark, and he met Brienne earlier? This story delves into the changing nature of Jaime and Brienne’s relationship in a time of war and shifting alliances and then explores how their journey, and the land, is changed by this small twist of fate.
Recommendation: So this shall be the inaugural post of what I’m going to call Straight Sundays (a little on the nose, I know, but I couldn’t resist) and they shall be every second and fourth Sunday in a month. I’m doing this because there just are some het pairings I want to rec for but it’s not nearly enough to start a whole new blog over.
This pairing will periodically consume me to the exclusion of all else because they are so singular. They embody so many different tropes including an inversion of the Beauty and the Beast and yet their chemistry is such that it does not feel ridiculous to picture them together, reliant on each other, and in love with each other. My first offering is epic and is more a Universe Alteration than an Alternate Universe, one event is changed and it has a ripple effect throughout the story. I adore how in character Jaime and Brienne are (well really everyone) but also the changes that are wrought in them both as a result of knowing each other earlier.
