Rec: Illusion by dawnstruck

Title: Illusion
Author: dawnstruck
Canon: Crossover - Star Trek AOS/Almost Human
Pairing: Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy "John Kennex"/Dorian DRN
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 35,027
Summary: In 2255, Doctor Leonard McCoy unwillingly sets out to join Starfleet. He’s got an ex-wife he can’t seem to remember, a constant unexplained feeling of anger, and the suspicion that something in his life is not quite right. In 2260, the Enterprise picks up an unregistered cruiser, piloted by someone who is not quite human, but no alien either. All because two-hundred years earlier, Detective John Kennex got himself in some serious trouble.

Recommendation: So I’ve read stories where McCoy is a descendant of John Kennex but this a new one on me him being John Kennex despite the 200 year time gap. The explanation of how that came about broke my heart a little, but it was mended with him reuniting with Dorian. Though there certainly was still some emotional constipation, because John’s still John even when he’s McCoy.

Rec: Do You Know Where Your Towel Is? by facelessoldwoman

Title: Do You Know Where Your Towel Is?
Author: facelessoldwoman
Canon: Crossover - Star Trek AOS/Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Pairing: Khan Noonien Singh/Arthur Dent
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 8,831
Summary: Arthur Dent is just looking for his place in the Galaxy… or maybe in an Alternate Universe.

Recommendation: Each day my recs for this crossover pairing have gotten zanier and zanier. I thought this incarnation of Arthur was a little more John Watson.

Rec: An Improbability by Mildredandbobbin

Title: An Improbability
Author: Mildredandbobbin
Canon: Crossover - Star Trek AOS/Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Pairing: Khan Noonien Singh/Arthur Dent
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 16,196
Summary: Zaphod Beeblebrox did not pick up Trillian from the flat in Islington, instead, at exactly the same moment as Ford and Arthur were rescued after being pushed out of Vogon airlock, Khan was intercepted during his space jump to the USS Vengeance. Khan has a plan to save the earth and return to his timeline, as the only other human still in existence, Arthur’s been invited to help. Sexy help.

Recommendation: This is an improbable conclusion to the main drama of Star Trek Into Darkness, but as this improbable conclusion does not include massive loss of civilian lives I’m on board. You know what this also is, hot like a burning thing.

Rec: Mostly Harmless by chucksauce

Title: Mostly Harmless
Author: chucksauce
Canon: Crossover - Star Trek AOS/Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Pairing: Khan Noonien Singh/Arthur Dent
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 4,926
Summary: It didn’t matter how long Arthur had been hitchhiking, he never got used to the constant hum of a space ship. And now that he’d been pulled into another dimension along a plurality axis, he was aboard some sort of military vessel where everyone wore colour-coded shirts and looked nervously at the prisoner at the opposite end of the cell in which he was currently detained.

Recommendation: Ya'know I think this is the first true crossover pairing I’ve ever rec'ed for, I’ve done fusions and AUs but never a true crossover. Welp, no time like the present. It’s all a little hand-wavy how Arthur and Khan are brought together, but to be fair quite a lot of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is handwave-y and come to think of it so is Star Trek. Anyways they meet and get a chance to know each other.

Rec: The Truth of Truths by blackidyll

Title: The Truth of Truths
Author: blackidyll
Canon: James Bond 007/London Spy
Pairing: James Bond/Q
Rating: Not Rated
Word Count: 8,747
Summary: For weeks, Q has no idea who the man with a permanent bed in MI6 Medical is. Well. More that he doesn’t quite understand the significance of Alistair Turner, why MI6 decides to keep him within headquarters instead of transporting him to another facility, one more suited to caring for a coma patient. Then M gives Q orders to find a program created by a certain MI6 cryptanalyst, a program now in the Security Service’s possession, with strictly worded instructions to scour it from existence. And Q understands. - A London Spy/James Bond crossover where Q and Danny are entirely separate people and they lead their lives as they did in the series and the movies. The key here is that Alex works for Bond and Q’s MI6 - the one portrayed in Spectre and headed by M(allory).

Recommendation: I’ve seen a few stories were Q is Danny from London Spy but the implications of that just hurt my little heart way to much so I gave them a miss. I took the plunge with this one because Q isn’t Danny or even related to him, they just look alike. It’s a fix-it for Spectre in as much as Bond doesn’t scarper off with a woman young enough to be his daughter, as well as being a fix-it for London Spy.
