Recommendation: This is the closest to ‘happy ending’ one could come for this pairing without taking a serious U-turn in canon somewhere. I’ve read it many times because I just love the lyrical style of Mandy’s prose. The sequel Grace of God is even more of a favorite with little pieces sticking with me for years.
